Hi, I’m Melissa

A therapist who gets it and won’t just ask, “how does that make you feel?”

I am a Cincinnati based Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and I specialize in treating women in their 30’s & 40’s who are navigating new stages of their identity as they experience life transitions personally, within their partnerships and in their careers. My specific areas of expertise are high functioning anxiety, perfectionism, neurodivergence, trauma, people-pleasing tendencies & setting boundaries within challenging family dynamics. My master’s degree in Clinical Counseling allows me to assess, diagnose and treat mental, behavioral and emotional disorders for residents of Ohio.

One of my passion projects with clients are helping women crack their “good girl” conditioning and begin speaking up after decades of shrinking themselves to take up as little space as possible in their own lives. I might have had a bit of experience with this myself :) My other area of expertise (that some may say borders on a fixation) is helping neurodivergent women who are diagnosed later in life navigate their next steps.

I live in the suburbs of Cincinnati with my husband and three elementary school aged children (including twins) and although I am an Ohio resident I spent my early childhood in California. When I’m not working or parenting my time is filled managing my household, reading, playing tennis, chauffeuring my kids around, hanging with family and friends, & just trying to have some fun while keeping my head above water- probably just like you.

I’m happy you’ve made your way here and I hope we can connect when you’re ready.
